FIVE OF SWORDS
The five of swords represents defeat. The course you are on will bring you nothing but misery, there will be defeat, and a conflict will go against you. You must accept that changes are necessary; you may need to cut your losses and swallow your pride. You may have to back track and start again.
Reverse meaning. Misfortune befalls a friend or attendance at a funeral. Stubborn pride and a refusal to give in even when all is lost are also indicated. It could be that some form of betrayal has been involved, and the person causing the upset is too powerful to challenge.
